Marketing Manager - Vaarst

Location: Bristol & Remote

Salary range: 35,000 to 50,000 depending on experience

We are looking for two experienced account based marketing managers for an exciting, fast-growing scale-up business with two sister companies.

Vaarst is a cloud robotics business and is advancing state-of-the-art underwater technology with our proprietary 3D data collection system. We are using Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence techniques to revolutionise subsea operations. Vaarst already offer, and continue to develop, disruptive and innovative technologies for the offshore wind and energy transition space.

But this is just the beginning. As a business we are about to complete our series B investment raise which will enable us to move towards our long term vision, we are taking on the world!


The ABM Specialist position is going to be pivotal to the future growth and success of the marketing department as a whole. The overall objective is to grow the number of accounts and maximise revenue across new clients. This will be achieved via multi-channel campaigns including email, direct mail, tailored content, webinars and face to face events. The successful candidate will have a data driven approach, utilising reporting and analytics to maximise campaign ROI.

Reporting into the VP of Marketing this role will be working with a wider marketing team and external resources.

  • Designing and managing the ABM strategy and overall marketing campaigns to support customer growth
  • Mapping out the organisational structures of key accounts
  • Fantastic scope to grow and develop this role into a senior marketing position
  • Ideal role for someone coming from the tech space

As our Marketing Manager for Vaarst your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Tactically executing multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Implementing the ABM strategy across a new set of target clients
  • Utilizing the full marketing mix of email, direct mail, content, website and webinars/events
  • Developing tailored messaging to engage with the senior stakeholders and prospects
  • Monitoring, tracking and reporting on all campaign successes; amending campaigns accordingly to maximise ROI
  • Managing the database and CRM systems via SalesForce/Pardot to accurately track and record marketing interactions
  • Manage social media channels (including creating copy, assets and engaging with communities), social campaigns and reporting
  • Contribute to website content by writing about industry trends, case studies, and company announcements
  • Create press releases for our company and clients and distribute to related media channels
  • Manage email marketing campaigns for our company and clients
  • Manage the company's newsletter and e-shot campaigns and help oversee CRM
  • Support for creating marketing collateral and video storyboards for specific campaigns
  • Run and implement the agency’s PPC campaigns as and when needed
  • Liaising with designers and printers and arranging the effective distribution of marketing materials
  • Organising and attending events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions
  • Manage the marketing budget
  • Work in strong collaboration with the Sales team


  • 1 year of specialised ABM marketing coming from a fast paced SME
  • Ideally experience in the financial services industry
  • A marketing degree or CIM qualification would be advantageous
  • Experience working within relevant sectors
  • Good people skills to build relationships with the team and other stakeholders
  • Possess a never-ending curiosity and a hunger to learn new skills
  • Copy writing/social media, PR agency management and media relations experience is a must
  • Passion for social media and digital marketing
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Outstanding attention to details
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Experience using LinkedIn and Twitter for campaign management
  • Excellent copy writing skills for content creation, social, events invitations etc.
  • Self-starter individual with bags of creativity and confidence
  • You are someone who is not afraid to put in that extra bit of effort in order to ensure tasks are finished on time
